- 3+ years of combined experience in embedded software development.
- Development with design assurance guidance, such as DO-178 or IEC 61508.
- Familiarity with C language development.
- Experience working with version control tools and concepts.
- Experience with lifecycle management tools, including requirements, tracing, validation and verification, and problem reporting.
- Proficient written and spoken communication, including explanations of detailed technical concepts.
- Experience debugging embedded systems with simulations or within the target.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Able to sustain software development for projects ranging over several years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in electrical, computer, software engineering or computer science.
- Detailed understanding of a variety of microcontroller architectures and operational principles.
- Familiarity with MISRA C standards.
- Understanding of principles of power electronics.
- Able to prepare presentations and lead audits.
- Capable of reading schematics.
- Able to work on the development of electrical power systems for military aircraft used internationally.

- Creating test strategies for software requirements.
