Job summary

S & A Systems, Inc. is seeking an on-site Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop new embedded hardware and firmware.

You will own products from concept to verification, work on diverse systems, and interact with customers while maintaining hands-on involvement in the office with occasional field testing. Candidates should have a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and strong experience in firmware, Altium, and hardware debugging.

Qualifications

• Experience writing firmware for embedded systems (C/C++/C#/Python).
• Familiarity with Microchip PIC families is a plus.
• Proficient with PCB layout tools like Altium.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets, and to work with common peripherals.
• Hands-on hardware debugging and board bring-up experience.

Responsibilities

• Electronic Hardware Design & Firmware Design Engineering.
• Own products from concept through verification and documentation.
• Work on diverse projects including automotive/dispensing devices and RF/communication systems.
• Represent the company professionally with strong customer service.
• Be hands-on; most work is in-office with occasional field testing.
