Medtronic Lafayette, Colorado is seeking a Hardware Engineer to develop embedded hardware for airway management products. You will design schematics and PCBs, select components, and assist in defining verification plans.

The role emphasizes hands‑on hardware work and collaboration with firmware, systems, and manufacturing teams. You will contribute to circuit design, laboratory testing, and design transfer while ensuring compliance with medical device practices and quality systems throughout the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering.
• Experience completing at least one hardware development cycle from schematic capture to board bring‑up.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, or UART and ECAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronic schematics and PCB layouts following design standards.
• Select components, analyze datasheets, maintain BOM, and document changes.
• Perform circuit calculations, simulations, and reliability evaluations.
• Build and troubleshoot prototype hardware with lab equipment.
• Support board bring‑up and hardware‑software integration for embedded systems.
• Execute verification tests and document results with traceability.
• Collaborate with firmware, systems, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing teams.
