Job summary

Swarmbotics AI in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer to design and maintain the FireAnt main board, covering power, CAN, Ethernet, and sensor I/O. You will lead board bring-up, validation, and integration with software and mechanical teams for a rugged UGV platform.

The role requires STM32/Freertos experience, PCB layout in Altium, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Onsite work in the Phoenix area is expected.

Qualifications

• Design mixed-signal and power circuits for battery-powered systems.
• Altium Designer with multi-layer PCB layouts.
• High-current motor bus power distribution knowledge.
• Embedded firmware in C (STM32, FreeRTOS, CAN/Ethernet).
• CAN/FDCAN and Ethernet (lwIP) interfaces.
• Board bring-up and validation, MIL-STD-810H aware.
• Collaborate with Mechanical for PCBA integration.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance.
• Willing to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain the FireAnt main board.
• Architect power conversion, motor bus, CAN, Ethernet, and IO.
• Perform board bring-up and field support.
• Coordinate with software and mechanical teams during integration.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-810H during testing.
