Flux Photonics is looking for an FPGA Engineer to own the embedded system on their laser link end-to-end at their Pacifica, CA office. This hands-on role emphasizes building reliable systems quickly that perform in real-world environments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and expertise in firmware and FPGA development using C, Assembly, VHDL, or Verilog. This full-time on-site position offers the chance to work on mission-driven projects advancing national security technologies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience shipping production-grade embedded firmware or FPGA designs.
• At least one project owning software systems architecture from conception through deployment.
• Ability to prototype hardware systems and adapt to achieve functional results.

Responsibilities

• Own the embedded system from requirements through field deployment.
• Develop high-speed signal processing algorithms for PHY and Link Layer.
• Build production-grade firmware for link control and management.
