Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking an Embedded Flight Software Engineer 2 to design, develop and deliver real‑time embedded software for flight control systems. You will work across requirements, design subsystems, implement code and build tests in a collaborative, agile environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM, strong C/C++ and Linux experience, and familiarity with Git and agile methods. ULA offers a 9/80 schedule, relocation support, and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in STEM or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with C/C++ programming and embedded systems.
• Experience with Linux and object‑oriented design.
• Familiarity with Git and lean‑agile development practices.
• Desire to use AI‑assisted tooling across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and document software for embedded flight control systems.
• Implement code modules and build tests across the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA and automation teams.
