Job summary

Nuvoton Technology Corporation America in Austin, TX, is seeking an Embedded Firmware Validation Engineer to validate embedded firmware and develop automated tests for production platforms used by OEM customers.

You will design and maintain test frameworks, validate system-level firmware features including boot and power-management behavior, and work with firmware, FPGA, and hardware teams to drive root-cause analysis and robust firmware quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
5+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware validation.
5+ years of experience with C programming.

Responsibilities

Validate embedded firmware functionality on complex hardware platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and validation infrastructure.
Perform system-level validation of firmware features, including system health monitoring and power-management behavior.
Debug firmware and system issues using hardware debug tools and lab equipment.
Collaborate with firmware, FPGA, and hardware engineers to analyze issues and drive root-cause resolution.
Participate in firmware release cycles by providing validation results, technical feedback, and risk assessment.
