Insight Global is seeking a Junior Firmware Test Engineer to join our R&D team supporting innovative medical devices. You will test embedded software on hardware like pulse generators and charging systems, executing firmware test cases and verifying design requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of engineering, testing, or embedded systems experience.
• Understanding of software testing principles.
• Exposure to C programming or embedded systems through coursework, internships, or professional experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Experience with medical devices, hardware testing, or regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate embedded software running on hardware components such as pulse generators and charging systems.
• Execute firmware and system-level test cases and support design verification activities.
• Troubleshoot defects, document findings, and review requirements for quality compliance.
• Support regulatory standards and maintain clear traceability of test results.
