Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC in Hawthorne, CA seeks an engineer to own the design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of spacecraft components. Build complete tools and testing setups, emphasizing fully completing and shipping work.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, independent contributors who can commit to a minimum of 12 weeks in-person at the Hawthorne, CA office, and possess strong C/C++ and Python skills with experience in lab equipment and serial protocols.

Qualifications

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Own the design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of novel spacecraft components.
• Build complete tools and testing setups, emphasizing fully completing and shipping your work.
• Prototype and iterate rapidly.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Experience in software development in languages like C, C++ and Python.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, including hands-on experience using tools like DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Experience implementing device drivers and working with serial digital communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.
• Ability to work highly independently while knowing when to seek guidance.

Ideal candidates are comfortable facing challenges with no known solution, willing to be hands-on individual contributors, and able to commit to a minimum of 12 weeks in-person at the Hawthorne, CA office.
