Insight Global in Boulder, CO is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, develop and document embedded software systems and hardware interfaces for company products. The role involves working with firmware, debugging, and collaborating with hardware teams to ensure robust performance.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with RTOS, bare-metal programming, and communication protocols such as I2C/UART/SPI. Strong problem solving and documentation skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• At least three years of engineering and programming experience.
• Three years of C and Python/C# programming.
• Experience with RTOS and bare-metal development.
• Experience with cellular, sub-GHz, WiFi, and BT communication protocols preferred.
• Experience with I2C, UART interfaces (SPI also mentioned).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot hardware.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Designs, develops and documents technical aspects of embedded software systems and related hardware interface components for Company products with minimum supervision.
• Maintains knowledge of new embedded software technologies and monitoring industry trends.
• Debugs and fixes hardware and software issues in embedded systems.
• Interfaces with low level microcontroller components.
• Performs functional analysis or performance profiling with firmware and hardware in test environments.
• Maintains and updates firmware to address field issues or obsolescence.
• Develops training materials for support staff as needed.
• Assists with project planning and timely delivery.
