Torus is seeking a Firmware Engineer to translate architectural direction into production-grade firmware for energy storage devices. This individual contributor role works closely with the Firmware Architect and interfaces with hardware, data, and software teams to deliver robust firmware.

The stack emphasizes Python on Embedded Linux (Yocto) over C/C++. You’ll handle telemetry, cloud connectivity, and hardware abstraction layers, with on-call rotation and remote work from the U.S.

Competenze

• BS degree in EE/CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5+ years in commercial embedded software/firmware.
• Proficient in Python on Embedded Linux (Yocto or similar).

Mansioni

• Develop firmware features across energy storage product lines (telemetry, control loops, cloud connectivity, HALs).
• Own system integration with hardware, data, and software teams.
• Drive quality through design reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
• Debug and optimize real-time embedded apps and serial interfaces.
• Support scaling: deployment tooling, remote monitoring, root-cause analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
