Job summary

Crestron Electronics Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer for our Rockleigh campus to help develop firmware for lighting and environmental control products.

You will own the firmware lifecycle from concept to testing, collaborating with hardware engineers and other developers. You’ll bring hands-on experience with embedded systems, C/C++, and microcontrollers, and you’ll contribute to design reviews, board bring-up, DVT tests, and documentation to ensure high quality and reliable product

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and deep understanding of microcontroller architectures.
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex system-level problems.
• Good communication skills – explain technical concepts clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the complete firmware lifecycle for new and existing products.
• Review and revise product requirements for firmware feasibility and clarity.
• Design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems (lighting and environmental lines).
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with board bring-up and lead firmware-centric DVT and real-time debugging tests.
• Create clear design specifications and test procedures; document thoroughly.
• Support products to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
