Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 2, Embedded Software to support design, development, and testing of embedded software and hardware systems for moderate complexity projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative embedded products.

The role requires a strong foundation in firmware development, knowledge of UART/SPI/I2C/Ethernet, and experience with C/C++. You will contribute across the SDLC, perform analyses, and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven embedded systems development experience with firmware, hardware integration and optimization.
• Minimum 5 years of embedded software development experience.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of embedded systems, including firmware, device drivers, and hardware interfaces throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to define system architecture, select components, and optimize system performance.
• Conduct preliminary analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure project success.
• Prepare, communicate and monitor moderate technical complexity project plans.
• Prepare and present critical technical reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate firmware issues during design and manufacturing.
