Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer in San Antonio, TX. You will design and implement embedded software, firmware, and device drivers, and collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver robust systems.

The role requires at least 4 years of production software experience, strong C/C++ skills, and hands-on debugging with SDKs. You will lead technical efforts and contribute to project plans and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of production software development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical teams.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Git and SVN version control.
• Familiarity with Agile practices.
• Moderate knowledge of C/C++.
• Experience developing embedded software with SDKs and debuggers.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of embedded systems, including firmware, device drivers, and hardware interfaces throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct preliminary analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure project success.
• Prepare, communicate and monitor moderate technical complexity project plans.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate software bugs during design and manufacturing.
