Job summary

Chamberlain Group, a global leader in intelligent access, seeks an Engineer I, Firmware to design and develop embedded firmware on hardware platforms. You will create specifications, implement firmware, and support manufacturing and regulatory approval in a hybrid Oak Brook setup.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, familiarity with Agile/Scrum, and ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering preferred; or 4+ years of related work experience.
• Experience in embedded firmware development on hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Ability to document designs and create test cases for firmware modules.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement application firmware solutions for hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into designs and tests.
• Create and maintain technical specifications for product development.
• Develop modular firmware blocks and perform unit testing and debugging.
