Job summary

Hextronics seeks an embedded firmware engineer to own firmware across drone and dock platforms. You will develop for resource‑constrained targets, bring up new hardware, and debug against real hardware with test equipment. This hands‑on role sits in a small, agile team delivering field deployments.

You will work with C/C++ on STM32 or similar MCUs, read schematics, and ensure electrical constraints are respected. On‑site in Miami, relocation okay for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of firmware experience for resource-constrained targets.

• Experience with STM32 or similar MCUs and peripheral config.
• ,
• Able to read schematics and understand electrical constraints.
• Proficient use of electrical test equipment for bring-up and validation.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware for drone and dock platforms across bare metal and RTOS environments.
• Bring up new hardware, power-on, peripheral validation, and debugging against schematics/layouts.
• Diagnose firmware/hardware interaction issues with scopes and analyzers.
• Read datasheets and account for electrical constraints in code.
• Write and execute test/validation procedures for development and production firmware.
• Collaborate with software/hardware teams on integration and testing.
