Analog Photonics seeks an Embedded Software Architect to advance our LiDAR effort. You will translate system functions into code for Microblaze and ARM cores, and drive the full embedded software design cycle from requirements to validation on target hardware.
You will write C/C++ for embedded systems and Python/MATLAB for interface tooling, and progressively provide technical leadership as the software team grows. This on-site, full-time role requires US work authorization.
We are currently looking for an Embedded Software Architect to join the optical phased array LiDAR effort. The role will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of CMOS, FPGA, Photonic, Electrical, Laser, and Systems engineers to develop and implement algorithms, control systems, state machines, communication protocols, and memory/peripheral controllers that are targeted for microcontrollers embedded inside our LiDAR system. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys tackling big problems with a blank canvas.
As the embedded software architect, you will be responsible for translating required system functions into code targeted for Microblaze and ARM microcontrollers. You can expect to execute the full embedded software design cycle, including requirements formation, architecture development, design, testbench design, and software test on the target hardware. You will also be expected to write C/C++ code targeted for desktops and/or Python/MATLAB code as necessary to interface with your embedded software. As the software team grows, your responsibilities will also grow to include technical leadership of the embedded software team.
The position is full-time, on-site, and available to be filled immediately. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
