Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies is seeking a Firmware Engineering Co-op in Eden Prairie, MN. You will help design, test, and debug embedded systems powering our medical devices, aligning electrical engineering and software coursework with real hardware and low-level software development.

You will work with experienced firmware and hardware engineers on active projects, gaining exposure to the full embedded development lifecycle from schematic review to firmware debugging on real boards.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency with C/C++.
• Working knowledge of Python.

Responsibilities

• Write and debug firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
• Implement and troubleshoot communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
• Develop Python scripts to support test automation and data collection.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to bring designs from concept to prototype.
• Document code, test procedures, and results clearly for the team.
