Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. in the Boston area is seeking a Field Applications Engineer with a strong background in embedded processing.

You will lead the technical interface with strategic customers, partnering with Sales to drive design-ins across Renesas MCU/MPU portfolios. The role requires 5+ years in ARM/MCU embedded design, proficiency with RTOS/Linux tools, and effective customer communication to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of ARM or MCU-based embedded processing design experience.
Strong proficiency with RTOS/Linux-based embedded systems and development tools.

Responsibilities

Lead technical interface for customers, supporting MCU/MPU and connectivity products.
Partner with Sales to define and implement embedded processing strategy at accounts.
Determine customer requirements and recommend products, solutions, and services.
Help develop new business by gathering feedback and market trends.
Manage and drive issue escalations with internal engineering for rapid resolution.
Provide clear program updates to senior leadership.
Collaborate with Product Line, Marketing, and Sales Enablement for feedback.
