Job summary

ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION LLC is seeking an experienced firmware engineer in Mountain View to design and implement network-capable software for embedded systems.

The role requires 3-7 years of hands-on experience in C and C++, familiarity with Linux kernel and drivers, and experience with embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto or Buildroot, plus Ethernet networking and network switching ASICs.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in relevant field.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Familiar with Linux kernel and drivers.
• Experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or Buildroot) is required.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP networking and network switching ASICs (Broadcom/Marvell/Microchip).
• Basic electrical engineering fundamentals for low-level debugging.
• Desirable: PTP, RTOS, safety and security concepts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Yocto or Buildroot) Good understanding of Ethernet, IP, and higher levels of networking Hardware-based ethernet packet processors (VLANs, Filtering engines, TCAMs, etc) Deep familiarity with features of at least one network switching ASICs is a must (Broadcom Marvell, or Microchip switches preferred). Basic knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals to support low level debugging Desirable knowledge PTP (Precision Time Protocols) RTOS Safety + Security Concepts.
