Job summary

BayOne Solutions in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks an experienced embedded systems engineer to lead high‑performance SoC bring‑up across Qualcomm Snapdragon, NVIDIA Orin, or MediaTek platforms.

You will own BSP development, Linux kernel bring‑up, boot flows, U‑Boot, device trees, and hardware initialization, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive platform integration, performance optimization, and system stability from early development to production readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience with high‑performance SoC bring‑up and platform bring‑up across mobile/embedded SoCs.
• Deep expertise in BSP development, Linux kernel bring‑up, and low‑level system integration.
• Strong understanding of boot flows, bootloaders (U‑Boot), device trees, kernel configuration, and hardware initialization.
• Hands-on experience with storage/memory configuration (eMMC, UFS, DRAM) and partitioning.
• Direct experience with Type‑1 hypervisors (Gunyah/ACRN/QNX) is a plus.
• Experience running Linux, Android, and/or QNX in virtualized environments; strong virtualization concepts knowledge.
• Proven debugging, root‑cause analysis across boot, kernel, hardware, and virtualization layers.
• Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring developers.

Job description

• Extensive hands-on experience with high-performance SoC bring-up, preferably Qualcomm Snapdragon, NVIDIA Orin, or MediaTek platforms.
• Strong expertise in BSP development, Linux kernel bring-up, and low-level system integration.
• Deep understanding of boot flows, bootloaders such as U-Boot, device trees, kernel configuration, and hardware initialization.
• Hands-on experience with storage and memory configuration, including eMMC, UFS, DRAM, and partitioning.
• Direct experience with Type-1 hypervisors, such as Gunyah, ACRN, or QNX-based hypervisor platforms.
• Experience running and integrating Linux, Android, and/or QNX guest operating systems in virtualized environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including CPU and memory allocation, hardware resource partitioning, device passthrough, and guest OS configuration.
• Proven experience benchmarking, stress testing, and analyzing CPU, GPU, NPU, and multimedia subsystems.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across boot, kernel, hardware, and virtualization layers.
• Experience leading technical discussions, collaborating across engineering teams, and mentoring developers.
• Ability to drive platform integration, performance optimization, and system stability from early development through production readiness
