Job summary

Performix is seeking an Electronics Technician to move hardware from prototyping into production, with a focus on precision soldering, rework of fine-pitch components, and board-level debugging of embedded systems.

You will support test and assembly for small robotic systems, spanning prototype through low-volume production, and document procedures to enable reproducibility across shifts and teams.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in an industry hardware role or equivalent
• Fine-pitch soldering experience; IPC workmanship standards preferred
• Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts and translate them into a debugging plan
• Python scripting and Linux familiarity for test automation a plus

Responsibilities

• Hand-solder and rework fine-pitch SMT components to precision required for prototype/low-volume builds
• Debug battery-powered embedded electronics at board level using scopes/LA/other instruments
• Assemble and bring up small robotic systems in R&D and production settings
• Maintain clear documentation for test procedures, build notes, and reproducibility
