Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our embedded electronics team. You will design, prototype, and test electronic circuits and PCBs for high-assurance transportation safety programs, working with senior engineers to ensure robust hardware solutions.

The role emphasizes DFT/DFM, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment on site in Albuquerque, NM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience demonstrating independent research and development.
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test electronic circuits, PCBs, and integrated systems under senior engineers guidance.
• Review schematics, layouts, and design documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in hardware testing activities including functional verification and environmental testing.
• Implement design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturability (DFM) to improve quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware-software integration and system optimization.
• Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing and performance issues and support documentation.
