Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Microelectronics Engineer to collaborate with law enforcement by deploying digital investigative tools and developing new methods to recover digital evidence. You will work in a lab setting to debug, test, and refine electronics using MCUs, FPGAs, and flash memory concepts, while documenting procedures with precision.

Required are hands-on hardware engineering experience, proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python, and a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and developing embedded systems or electronics utilizing programmable microcontrollers or FPGAs, including software.
  • Experience with flash memory technology, including reading and programming NAND flash, eMMC, or UFS.
  • Experience working in an engineering laboratory environment with common lab equipment.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with law enforcement by deploying digital investigative tools.
  • Develop, refine, and execute new tools and techniques for recovering digital evidence for lawful investigations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged electronics; perform in-circuit debugging and testing to determine how components work or recover data.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in developing and following procedures and documenting findings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
