Job summary

Pilgrim in Redwood City seeks an Electrical Engineer to own electronics and embedded systems across our products, from concept to mass production. You will work on PCBs, mixed-signal circuits, sensing and power management, and system integration, taking boards from prototype to deployed hardware.

Responsibilities include designing and validating PCBs, bringing up hardware, debugging with scopes and analyzers, and collaborating with mechanical, firmware, software, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (degree not required).
• Portfolio of independent hardware projects required.
• Experience with PCB design tools and mixed-signal design.
• Ability to design, bring up, debug, and verify complex PCBAs.
• Experience debugging multi-domain systems (analog, digital, RF, power).
• Familiarity with lab instrumentation and extracting insights from measurements.
• Experience with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, Ethernet).
• Understanding EMI/EMC considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBs from schematic capture through layout and bring-up.
• Work across rigid, rigid-flex, and flex circuits balancing performance and manufacturability.
• Build and test prototypes, breadboards, and evaluation circuits.
• Bring up and debug hardware using scopes, analyzers, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Develop circuits for sensing, actuation, embedded compute, communications, and power management.
• Design, assemble, and troubleshoot wire harnesses and cabling for system integration.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and systems engineers for integration.
• Travel for live demonstrations, field testing, and feedback-driven iteration.
