Job summary

SmallHD is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Cary, NC to develop embedded electrical assemblies and support board bring-up with the firmware team. You will select components, create schematics, and contribute to design verification while collaborating closely with manufacturing and quality teams.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in product development, strong PCB design skills with Altium, and experience with power delivery, signal integrity, and high-speed interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in product development in a team environment.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits and designing embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design and develop products per product management.
• Design and test complex electronic systems; create specs, schematics, drawings, and tests.
• Develop cable assemblies; document design history and test results.
• Support manufacturing, ESD/EMC/safety testing as needed.
