Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Valley, Nebraska, to design and develop new technology products as part of the new product development team. You'll be responsible for embedded control systems and remote communication products.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience and is proficient in hardware design and troubleshooting. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical or computer engineering.
• Ability to read firmware application code for troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of communication standards for TCP, USB, RS-232, RS-485, and Wi-Fi.

Responsibilities

• Lead the new product development process.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and field personnel.
• Provide technical design inputs for design reviews.

Skills

Hardware design for control panels

Analog and digital troubleshooting

Proficiency in Microsoft tools

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

Tools

PLM system (preferably Windchill)

Test Equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes)
