Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Data Analyst for a 12-month contract in Irving, TX to work onsite with the Rewards and Loyalty analytics team. You will build dashboards in Power BI, write SQL against large datasets on Databricks, and analyze product and customer data to guide business decisions.

Strong communication and collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams are essential. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in data analytics, advanced SQL, and experience with Databricks, Power BI,

Qualifications

3–5 years in data analytics, product analytics, or BI with 3 years writing SQL against large datasets.
3 years advanced SQL (joins, window functions, CTEs) on cloud platforms like Databricks/Spark SQL.
Experience building dashboards/reporting in Power BI or Tableau for business stakeholders.
Hands-on Python (pandas) for data analysis and data quality validation.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to present findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Serve as embedded data analyst for Rewards and Fuel Loyalty teams; define KPIs and launch measurements.
Build and maintain master analysis tables in Databricks (SQL/Python) tracking loyalty, deals, rewards, and fuel performance.
Develop Power BI dashboards and recurring reports (e.g., member activity, promotion performance) with consistent metric definitions.
Evaluate offers, promotions, and partner programs using test vs. control and cohort methods.
Analyze app engagement data alongside transaction data; identify data gaps and ensure reporting accuracy.
