Job summary

Schneider Electric is offering a spring cybersecurity internship in the United States. You will join the Innovation & Technology team’s Embedded Cyber Security program to gain hands-on experience protecting systems, operations, and customers.

You will work in an Agile environment on firmware, hardware, and software ecosystems using C, C++, Python, and Docker, while learning modern security practices and DevOps approaches.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in BA/BS CS or CE; seniors strongly preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python.
• Experience with Software/Embedded Software Development on Linux.
• Experience with GIT, CI/CD processes, and DevOps.
• Curiosity about unfamiliar technologies and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to understand product requirements and design solutions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to deliver.
• Effective communication to foster team engagement.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts: encryption, hashing, digital signatures, PKI, authentication, access control, vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Research, investigate, develop and test cybersecurity firmware libraries, hardware and components.
• Conduct performance analysis and application development for embedded devices.
• Contribute to development of cybersecurity software ecosystem using C, C++, Python, and Docker.
