Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Software Security Engineer to design cryptographic foundations securing flight systems in embedded platforms. You will own encryption, code signing, secure boot, and key management across the stack.

You will collaborate with embedded, avionics, and infrastructure teams to translate cryptographic principles into practical, resilient implementations in constrained environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (CS/CE/EE).
• 3+ years in software engineering with exposure to applied cryptography or security engineering.
• Experience implementing encryption, authentication, or digital signatures in C/C++/Rust or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure boot chains and hardware-backed root of trust mechanisms.
• Develop and integrate cryptographic protocols for embedded and distributed systems.
• Own software signing infrastructure and verification workflows for firmware and flight software.
