Job summary

The University of Mississippi’s Bessie & Leland Speed Counseling Center is seeking a qualified mental health counselor to support the campus community. You will provide individual, group, and couples therapy and offer crisis intervention as needed, while maintaining confidential records.

You will collaborate with academic departments and student affairs to advance student wellbeing. A Master’s degree and licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) in Mississippi, with at least three years of relevant experience,

Job Summary

Provide mental health counseling for students; presents outreach and educational programs to the University community to support the mental wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff of the university.

Job Description

Provides professional mental health counseling to students in the form of individual, group, and couples therapy. Provides crisis intervention for students experiencing a psychological emergency. Consults with academic departments and student affairs departments. May be involved in crisis prevention, or aiding with adjustment problems after a major life event. Maintains confidential records.

Job Responsibilities
  • Must be eligible or hold LPC or LCSW or LMFT with licensure in Miss.

$51,604.80 - $77,396.80
