Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Palm Bay, Florida seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design and deploy secure embedded C2 software for real-world deployed systems. You will work across hardware, firmware, and Python services, bringing systems from bench bring-up to field-ready deployment.

Responsibilities include building Linux images, implementing secure boot features, and CI/CD automation. A TS/SCI with CI Poly eligible profile is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, sustain embedded command and control software for deployed systems.
• Build, configure, and harden embedded Linux images on ARM and SBC platforms.
• Implement secure platform capabilities: signed boot, TPM2, U-Boot, keys/OTP, measured boot, and LUKS.
• Develop Python services and automation; contribute C/C++ firmware for microcontroller platforms.
• Bring up hardware-in-the-loop and bench environments; debug with serial, GPIO, and I/O interfaces.
• Configure deployed Linux systems: networking, firewall, systemd, time sync, logging, provisioning.
