Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Anthem seeks a Software Engineer II-Embedded C++ to design, develop, and integrate avionics software for embedded platforms. You’ll contribute across the full life cycle from requirements through integration and validation for both fixed-wing and urban air mobility systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in C/C++, Python, and real-time OS environments, with a hybrid work schedule after an initial onsite period and collaboration across a diverse, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, avionics, or related field (including internships, co-ops, or academic projects).
• Experience with programming languages C, C++, Python, PowerShell.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., DEOS, ARINC 653).
• Experience with debuggers like gdb, visual studio.

Responsibilities

• Support IMA systems software integration activities
• Assist with software validation and verification efforts
• Contribute to Key Program Indicators (KPI) tracking and validation
• Participate in requirements analysis and decomposition
• Support model-based development and system design activities
• Assist with integration testing and troubleshooting

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

2+ years of experience in software engineering, avionics, or a related technical field
