Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer to design, document, and implement scalable, low-latency C++ software on Linux for the AIS team. You will contribute foundational software powering GM's autonomous stack and work on interfacing with sensors and hardware across multiple teams.

The role involves writing production-quality code, participating in CI/CD, code reviews, and mentoring peers while delivering complex projects in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience writing production-quality software.
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or relevant work experience.
• Experience with C++11 or later.
• Knowledge of software best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop software in C++ to interface the Cruise autonomy stack with sensors and hardware.
• Improve and deliver reliable software through CI, testing, issue tracking, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with teams and mentor other developers.
• Deliver complex projects through incremental development.
