Job summary

Nexacode in Detroit is seeking an experienced Embedded C++ Engineer to contribute to embedded software for connected devices and automotive-related projects. You will design, develop, and debug software across hardware and firmware interfaces.

The role requires strong C++ expertise, a solid background in C, memory management, and multithreading, with collaboration across hardware and systems teams. A BS or MS in CS/CE/EE is expected; experience with Linux/RTOS and modern C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C/C++.
• Develop software for embedded platforms and connected devices.
• Debug and troubleshoot software at application and system levels.
• Work with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, integration, and technical documentation.
• Develop reliable and reusable software components.
