Finaventures in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Android Engineer to help bring accessible, hardware-connected devices to life. You’ll work on the Android platform (AOSP) from the hardware-interface layer up to the apps users rely on, collaborating closely with our lead device engineer on a small, fast-moving team.

We value curious builders who can learn the platform beneath the app layer and grow into deeper embedded work.

Qualifications

• Solid Android development experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
• Strong systems programming in C++ and familiarity with AOSP.
• Interest in platform and hardware-interface layers; able to work down the stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and customize the Android platform (AOSP) for accessibility devices—from hardware-interface layer to apps.
• Help modernize the platform for Google Play (GMS) certification.
• Build accessibility-first, on-device applications that are reliable and secure.
• Integrate with device hardware and contribute to deeper platform work over time.
