Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Software Algorithm/Embedded Intern to design algorithms, collect data, and verify embedded platforms. You will work with sensor data for motion tracking in wearables and industrial systems.

Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/EE/Physics, with C/C++ on embedded hardware and Python for ML; some ML tooling knowledge is a plus. This in-person internship starts Fall 2026.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, EE, Physics or equivalent.
• Experience implementing algorithms on embedded platforms using C/C++.
• Experience with Python and ML analysis/development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design algorithms and data collection experiments for embedded platforms.
• Integrate and verify algorithms on embedded hardware.
• Develop firmware for algorithm implementation across platforms.
• Create sensor software drivers for mobile/wearable/industrial/ automotive use.
