Embassy Suites Cincinnati Rivercenter Covington - Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant maintains a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel. Responsibilities include collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading laundry (washers, dryers, chutes), ironing, folding, storing, and delivering, as well as cleaning laundry machinery and the laundry area.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to convey information clearly.
• Ability to work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
• Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Ability to push/pull laundry carts weighing between 50-400 lbs.
• Occasionally pull linens from washers to dryers, weighing between 25-150 lbs.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate washing machines and dryers correctly.
• Wash and dry linens, towels, and rags as directed.
• Clean dryer filters daily and maintain equipment.
• Operate and shut off irons properly.
• Fold linens and towels, stock linen carts.
• Practice safe work habits.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry floors and equipment.
• Stock linen closets and perform other tasks as assigned.
