Role Overview

TechEquity Ai is seeking an Email Marketing Strategist to lead and execute strategic email campaigns that drive engagement, outreach, and audience growth. This role will focus on prospecting, nurturing relationships, and ensuring compliance with best practices to maintain a strong sender reputation. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in optimizing email outreach at scale while adhering to compliance standards.

This role is structured for at least 25 hours per week for a minimum of four months, with the option to extend.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for individuals who excel in dynamic environments. While a volunteer position, it upholds the high standards of Silicon Valley’s tech and nonprofit sector. We seek independent, resourceful problem-solvers with relevant experience who are ready to apply their knowledge and take on multiple responsibilities to support the team. Success in this role requires adaptability, initiative, independence and a willingness to step in where needed. This opportunity is not structured as a training program; it is an opportunity to engage in high-impact work, gain real-world exposure in a results-driven AI and technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Email Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement high-impact email marketing campaigns for outreach, engagement, and event promotion.
• Domain & Reputation Management: Warm up email domains, authenticate, and monitor sender reputation to ensure high deliverability.
• Personalization & Optimization: Create personalized, value-driven email content, avoiding spam triggers and ensuring high open and reply rates.
• Compliance & Deliverability: Ensure adherence to email marketing laws (such as CAN-SPAM) and maintain low bounce and spam complaint rates.
• Automation & Scaling: Utilize email automation tools (e.g. Apollo.io, Eventbrite) to scale outreach while optimizing sending limits and engagement.
• Tracking & Performance Analysis: Monitor campaign metrics, run A/B tests, and refine email strategies to improve conversion rates and audience engagement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in email marketing, lead generation, or digital communications.
• Strong knowledge of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and deliverability best practices.
• Experience with segmentation, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g. CAN-SPAM) and ethical marketing practices.
• Ability to analyze data, optimize outreach strategies, and maintain high engagement rates.
• Knowledge of AI, technology, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.

• Experience managing cold outreach campaigns and email prospecting.
• Proficiency in CRM and email tracking tools.
• Strong copywriting skills for email engagement and conversion optimization.
