Job description

Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that pairs remote work with top-tier talent. We help individuals from around the world connect with great companies that are looking for their specific skill set. Our mission is to provide great jobs to talented people, no matter where they are located.

We’re looking for a highly organized, hands-on Email Marketing Strategist to support retention marketing initiatives across multiple CPG and subscription brand clients. Operating in a fully remote environment, our client partners with diverse brands to enhance their customer engagement and convert leads into loyal customers through compelling email marketing strategies.

Role Overview:

As the Email Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for designing and executing email marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences. Your role will involve not only strategic planning but also detailed execution through segmentation, automation, and analytics to maximize the impact of each campaign.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and optimize email and SMS marketing strategies tailored for DTC brands, with a focus on retention and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Build and manage segmented audience lists for personalized, high-converting messaging.
  • Create and oversee automated flows using platforms like Klaviyo, Postscript, and Attentive.
  • Manage campaign production from ideation to deployment, including calendar building, content planning, approvals, and QA.
  • Analyze campaign data and report key performance metrics (opens, CTR, conversions, revenue, A/B test results) to inform optimizations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, delivering timely updates and ensuring smooth execution across accounts.
  • Use Asana, ClickUp, and Google Sheets to stay on top of timelines, manage deliverables, and ensure all tasks are tracked and completed.
  • Partner closely with the Strategy Lead to bring the big-picture vision to life while ensuring excellence in execution.
  • Coordinate with copywriters and designers to build engaging, brand-aligned email content.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of email/SMS best practices and platform features.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably in a marketing agency setting.
  • Proficiency in Klaviyo, Mailchimp is a must; experience with Postscript and Attentive is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and client-facing experience (Slack/email-based).
  • Strong project management abilities — highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience building campaign calendars and automated flows from scratch.
  • Comfortable analyzing data and making strategy recommendations based on performance.
  • Familiarity with tools like Asana, ClickUp, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with subscription or CPG brands is a big plus.
  • Confident but collaborative — someone who can own client accounts but is also open to learning and working closely with leadership.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards for email marketing (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with A/B testing and familiarity with design and copywriting principles.
  • Remote work
  • Salary paid in USD
  • Opportunity to grow with the company
