Job summary

Vituity seeks a Hospital Medicine Medical Director in Hartford, CT. The role offers autonomy under a physician-owned partnership with national support, enabling leadership over practice management, budgeting, and provider development.

You will drive clinical excellence, ensure policy compliance, and foster collaboration with hospital leadership and medical staff to advance patient care and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician (MD or DO) with residency completed.
• Maintain hospital staff privileges and comply with bylaws and policies.
• Physician Partnership status required; leadership experience preferred.
• 5+ years in a leadership role; academic setting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and champion Vituity’s purpose, mission, values, and strategy.
• Monitor healthcare trends and assess impact on the practice and local region.
• Develop and execute an annual practice management plan delivering value to patients and providers.
• Lead the local administrative management team and align responsibilities to achieve goals.
• Ensure adherence to Vituity policies and fiduciary obligations; conduct annual reviews.
