Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking an ELSP Continuous Improvement Lead for an on-site role in Mebane, NC. You will promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement, mentoring teams daily to reach operational excellence and drive performance gains.

You will deploy and lead projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets, aligning local initiatives with global CI strategy within ABB.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (preferred) with at least 2 years in manufacturing/production.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC

Your role and responsibilities

In this role as ELSP Continuous Improvement Lead, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results.

You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance.

  • Escalating to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level and helping facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Ensuring the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local ABB unit level is aligned with the global strategy.

  • Facilitating significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership.

  • Providing training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor degree (engineering preferred) PLUS minimum 2 years experiencein a manufacturing or production environment

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, a plus

  • Six sigmacertification, preferred

  • Proficientin MicrosoftExcel and SAP

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings

  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
