Job description

Job Title: HR Coordinator, North America
Reports to: Global HR Manager
Location: Remote (USA)
Reporting to the Global HR Manager, the HR Coordinator will support all North American HR functions for ILSC Education Group and ELS Educational Services including coordination of recruitment initiatives, onboarding, HR training, employee relations support, offboarding and HR reporting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the recruitment process for North America, including drafting job postings, managing internal/external job postings, recruitment tools and training where required.
  • Draft offer letters and administration of the new hire packages including supporting the onboarding process and orientation planning.
  • Support HR processes including labour relations, compliance, workplace accommodations, employment verification requests, and employee relations, including performance management (including employee investigations), under the guidance of the HR Generalist, North America and Global HR Manager.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department on employee matters and projects, such as benefits administration, leave management and payroll discrepancies.
  • Monitor and respond to general inquiries in the HR Team’s group emails accounts and escalate matters to other members of the HR and Payroll team as appropriate.
  • Support the payroll department during peak business times, including entering new hire data in the payroll system and ongoing maintenance as required.
  • Maintain employee file records on ILSC & ELS’s HRIS, including performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected, accurate and maintained.
  • Assisting with employee exit interviews.
  • Maintain and update ILSC & ELS’s internal HR Sharepoint and HRIS sites.
  • Support employee engagement and retention projects such as rewards & recognition programs.
  • Support internal HR and CSR projects to strengthen teamwork and company culture.
  • Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Additional job-related projects and duties as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1-2 years previous experience in a Human Resources position is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management is required.
  • A combination of education/experience may be considered if directly relates to the position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a multi-location work environment is an asset.
  • CPHR or SHRM designation is an asset.
