Londonderry Outpatient Rehab
40 Hours a week: Mon/Wed 8-7, Tu/Th 645-215, Fri 830-130 but may vary based on need.
Rehabilitation Services – Outpatient
Elliot Rehabilitation Services outpatient department consists of 8 clinics across the greater Manchester area. We offer physical, occupational and speech services across a multitude of specializations including orthopedics, neurological, pelvic floor, vestibular, geriatrics, pediatrics and oncology. We offer a multitude of educational opportunities to promote clinical growth and support staff with dedicated documentation time, mentorship programs and involvement in department projects. We encourage a culture of learning and process improvement while providing high quality, evidence-based therapy leading to positive patient outcomes.
About the Job
Acts as a representative in all areas of clerical support. Assumes responsibility for all facets of front desk operations, including greeting and registering patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, entering demographics and processing referrals. Retrieving and updating medical records, collecting fees and performing general clerical and other duties as assigned in accordance with TJC and government standards, as well as policies and procedures of Elliot Rehabilitation Services.
What You’ll Do
Greets patients and visitors to the department, performs check-in and notifies appropriate personnel of arrival. Receives incoming telephone calls, directs inquires as appropriate and takes messages. Receives and processes referrals from physician’s offices and manages referral tracking process. Performs required insurance verification activity when appropriate. Obtains insurance information through department processes in order to ensure that proper authorization requirements will be fulfilled. Schedules appointments for therapy evaluations and visits based on established guidelines. Completes the registration process, explains applicable policies to patient and assists patients with paperwork. Interacts with patients regarding complaints for effective and immediate response and resolution. Refers to Office Manager, Team Leader, or Clinical Leader as appropriate. Collects payments and charges from the patient at time of service. Maintains therapists’ schedules, optimizing effective scheduling of appointments. Confirms appointments as directed.
Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a health care setting preferred. Ability to obtain BLS Certification within first 90 days and maintain while in position.
