About the Job:

The practice of magnetic resonance is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the use of radiofrequencies (RFs) within a magnetic field on humans for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A registry eligible Magnetic Resonance Technologist performs magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner under the direct supervision of a registered technologist. It is the registry eligible magnetic resonance technologist who performs the magnetic resonance examination that creates the images needed for diagnosis.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform magnetic resonance procedures based on the American College of Radiology (ACR) "Practice Parameters and Technical Standards" and the ARRT “Standards of Ethics” under the direct supervision of an MR registered technologist.
• Understand and adhere to departmental exam protocols.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
• Complete annual mandatory education requirements on time.
• Prepare and position patient for MRI procedures according to the MRI procedure manual Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, administers first aid/CPR, as needed and in accordance with specific MRI Safety guidelines
• Prepare and/or administer contrast media.

Who You Are:

• Enrollment in an approved MRI program with registry eligibility at completion, Required
• Must be MRI registered within one year of completed MRI program.
• Ability to obtain BLS during employment
