About the Job:

A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner and assists with interventional procedures. The CT Technologist performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission, Philosophy and Code of Conduct of Elliot Health System.

What You’ll Do:

  • Practices within the scope of practice of the computed tomography technologist as outlined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT)
  • Performs venipuncture
  • Prepares and positions patient for CT procedures according to the CT procedure manual.
  • Provides radiation protection to patient, staff, and self-according to prescribed safety standards
  • Records patient history, unusual conditions/limitations, and other information such as; exam time, room number, and technique

Who You Are:

  • Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
  • Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification Required
  • ARRT (CT) certification, Required
    • ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
