Elliot Health System - Security Officer - Per Diem

About The Job

Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, employees, and their property. Ensures the security of Elliot Health System properties.

What You’ll Do

1. Conduct regular patrols of buildings and grounds, checking doors, windows, alarms, and firefighting equipment.
2. Patrol employee parking lots to ensure safety.
3. Document activity in the Security Log.
4. Respond to emergency situations such as “Code Red”, “Code Grey”, “Code Yellow”, and “Code Blue”.
5. Assist authorized personnel with building access.
6. Transport deceased persons and their property to the morgue, maintaining proper chain of custody.
7. Coordinate releases of deceased persons and property with proper authorization.
8. Maintain radio communication with the hospital Communications Center and respond to requests.
9. Assist during disasters, fire drills, fires, and other emergencies.

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Previous security experience in civil or military police preferred.
• Valid NH driver’s license; provide driver’s record report showing no misdemeanors or felonies.
• Certification for use of handcuffs, OC foam, and Tasers.
• CPI certification within six months of hire.
• Must be 21 years or older with no criminal record or convictions.
