Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with preference for BSN.
  • Must have New Hampshire RN or Compact State RN License.
  • Ability to obtain BLS during orientation; ACLS preferred.

Job description

This position is for a new Neurological Specialties Clinic focused on treating multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. The nurse will play a key role in providing comprehensive care, including managing prior authorizations for infusion therapy, assisting with minor in-office procedures, triaging patient needs, and navigating all aspects of MS care. The nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, medical assistants, therapists, and providers. In this role, the nurse will offer vital support, education, advice, and compassionate care to both MS patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.

  • Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.

  • Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.

  • Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.

Education/Experience/Licensure

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.

  • Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.

  • Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
