Join our team at Elliot Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic OR. We are expanding our comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery services at the Elliot Heart and Vascular Center, offering advanced treatments for heart, lung, and chest conditions.

About the Job

Nurses in this role provide sterility and safety during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include patient examination, vital signs monitoring, allergy verification, patient preparation, intraoperative monitoring, medical waste disposal, and OR disinfection. Ensuring patient safety and satisfaction throughout the surgical process is paramount.

What You’ll Do

1. Assess patient needs before, during, and after surgery.
2. Operate specialized medical equipment, including anesthesia machines and ventilators.
3. Prepare patients for surgery by scrubbing, gowning, and positioning.
4. Monitor vital signs under anesthesia and record medication administration accurately.

Who You Are

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ circulator experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire or a Compact State.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS; ACLS preferred.
