LNA – Geropsyche (GPU)

Who We Are:

GPU is our 29-bed Geropsychiatric Unit specializing in the care of patients ages 65+ with co-occurring cognitive impairment and psychiatric illness.

About the Job:

The LNA, under general direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and direct supervision of the RN is an integral member of the care delivery team by performing direct and indirect patient care through clinical tasks within the scope of LNA practice and by providing personal care and emotional support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Activities of daily living
  • Report all observations, symptoms, deviations from normal, and changes in patient’s condition to RN
  • Provide basic support to patients and families
  • Documents in selected areas of the medical record as appropriate

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Current New Hampshire licensure as LNA required
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
  • Aggression de-escalation training approved by EHS
